This week the students spent the whole week living the pirate life by exploring treasure maps, measuring all things pirate-related, learning about how force and motion are used in the life of a pirate, as well as how to work on writing a "How To writing about how to find their buried treasure. The students had guest speakers come in and read to them, build catapults, sailed ships. played tug-of-war, had pirate friction races, went on a math measuring hunt, measure pirates, and so many other fun pirate related activities.
